In an exclusive interview with The Hans India, Polish actor and model Natalia Janoszek discussed the unrealistic beauty standards promoted by social media and her time in the Bigg Boss 19 house. She reflected on the pressures of perfection, stating, “Our insecurity comes from social media. We are constantly fed images of beautiful people, and everything appears perfect. However, we must remember that many filters are used, and there are numerous takes before achieving one great shot. Being surrounded by models made me question my appearance, as I am not very tall or a model myself. This led to some insecurities. I participated in nearly 40 pageants before venturing into acting, and I was often told I wasn’t good enough.
It’s a battle we all face, not just those in the industry. Fortunately, fashion is now embracing all shapes and sizes, which is essential.” Natalia also shared her unexpected journey into reality TV with Bigg Boss 19, recalling how she was invited just two days before the show began while she was in Poland. “I received a call giving me just 10 hours to get to India. I had little time to consider it. While I was aware of Bigg Boss, I never envisioned myself participating, especially since I don’t consider myself a drama queen. Reality TV was not something I had pursued.
I had appeared in shows like Dancing with the Stars and Your Face Looks Familiar, which focused on dancing and showcasing talent. This was different; it’s unscripted and unlike movies. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I couldn’t decline. I enjoy challenges, and I love extreme sports, so I found Bigg Boss to be quite extreme. Thankfully, I managed to get through it,” she laughed. Discussing her relationships in the house, she mentioned, “I made 16 friends during my time in Bigg Boss.
Even upon leaving, those bonds remained strong, and I look forward to reconnecting with them once they are out.” Calling India her “second home,” Natalia expressed her gratitude for the affection she has received and mentioned her upcoming projects. “I will be seen next in Riteish Deshmukh’s Grand Masti 4, and I have another film with Ibrahim Ali Khan set for early next year, which is already filmed. I will also begin a new movie in two weeks with Sanjay Mishra. I feel this is just the start, as I am discussing numerous other projects. I love being here; it feels like my second home.
