In Patna, Bengaluru, and Delhi, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition INDIA bloc engaged in extensive discussions on Wednesday to resolve their disagreements regarding seat allocation among their allies for the upcoming Bihar elections next month. The BJP’s Election Committee convened in Patna to deliberate on the seat-sharing among NDA members, while Congress leaders gathered in Delhi to finalize candidates, reportedly confirming 25 of them. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, representing the NDA, clarified that he is ‘requesting and not making a claim’ for his party, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), to receive a significant number of seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections.
