The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is scheduled to unveil its joint manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, October 31, 2025. The event will feature key leaders from the alliance. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan, led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, released its manifesto titled ‘Bihar Ka Tejashwi Pran’ on Thursday. A significant pledge includes enacting legislation within 20 days of coming to power that guarantees a government job for one member of each family in the state. In response to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s purportedly staged dip in the Yamuna river during Chhath Puja, BJP president J.P. Nadda criticized the Congress leader.
Gandhi alleged that the event was canceled upon discovering that a clean water puddle was used instead of the polluted river. RJD leader and singer-actor Khesari Lal Yadav expressed gratitude to the people of Chapra for their support, stating, “The trust the people of Chapra have placed in me is the driving force that will motivate me to work harder… We aim to elevate education, modernize healthcare, and guide Chapra towards a prosperous future.” The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has experienced a remarkable journey in Bihar, characterized by shifting alliances and evolving political dynamics that have significantly influenced the state’s governance.
The NDA alliance comprises the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. In preparation for the 2025 assembly elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has enhanced security measures at Bihar’s inter-state borders to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.
