Dehradun, May 15 (). New rules are going to be made regarding pension for government employees in Uttarakhand. Qualifying Service and Validation Bill-2022 for Uttarakhand Pension, passed in Gairsain budget session, duly became law. The Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Department issued its notification. Its order was done by the Secretary Emperor Muhammad Dilbar Danish. It will be valid from the year 1961.
With its implementation, now the services rendered as temporary personnel will be invalid for pension benefits. The period of service from the date of substantive appointment will be counted for pension. That’s why the decision was taken in the recent years, in some departments including PWD, Irrigation, Drinking Water, employees who were made temporary to permanent had demanded the benefit of pension on the basis of past services.
At least 10 years of regular service is mandatory for the benefit of pension. But the personnel with three to four years of permanent service demanded addition of their earlier temporary services of 10 to 15 years for pension. The decisions in the court cases in these cases came in favor of the employees. After this this series started.
