Bhubaneswar: The Railway Ministry has given the green light for the final location survey at Nimapada and Gop as part of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the planned Konark-Bhubaneswar railway line. Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida had urged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to include Nimapada and Gop in the route. She stated that this alignment would enhance the tourist attractions in these areas. Parida expressed her appreciation for the ministry’s recent endorsement of the long-awaited railway line and thanked the Railway Minister for the inclusion of Nimapada and Gop in the final location survey necessary for preparing the DPR. She noted that including these regions would greatly boost tourism and significantly enhance regional connectivity and transportation services.
“This long-awaited initiative will not only create a direct link between Bhubaneswar and Konark but will also provide substantial benefits to the residents of Gop and Nimapada, which are part of my Assembly constituency,” Parida remarked.
