Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh), 26 April (). In a shocking incident, a woman, who was married three days back, was found naked with almost 40 per cent burns on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway in Bareilly. The condition of the 25-year-old woman is said to be critical.
The doctors treating her said that an attempt was made to strangle the woman to death, but she survived.
According to reports, the woman was married on April 22 but returned to her maternal home the next day.
On Tuesday morning, some locals saw him in the bushes near a medical college in Fatehganj West area.
The woman somehow informed the police, who called her father.
Emergency Medical Officer Dr.J.P. He was admitted by the police due to acid burns on his face, neck, hands and chest, Maurya said. There were marks on her neck which showed that someone tried to strangle her. When his condition deteriorated, he was referred to a higher medical center in Lucknow.
Several teams have been deployed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhakar Chowdhary to crack the case.
She was found around 20 km from her home, said ASP (Bareilly Rural) Rajkumar Agarwal. We have questioned her husband, but he is unaware of the incident. His father has not given a complaint yet.
