Guwahati, May 24 (). Pro-Khalistan leader and Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh was interrogated by National Security Agency (NSA) officials at Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. Singh has been lodged in Dibrugarh jail since April 23 after being taken into police custody from Road village in Moga, Punjab.
According to police sources, NSA officials reached Dibrugarh on Tuesday and questioned Singh for over two hours.
Meanwhile, nine other associates of Singh lodged in Dibrugarh jail were also questioned by the NSA officials.
A senior police officer said on Wednesday that Singh was questioned separately. Later his associates were questioned.
Last week, Amritpal Singh’s parentsTarsen Singh and Balwinder Kaurvisited him in jail.
Earlier on May 4, Amritpal Singh’s wife Kiranpal Kaur had also met him in jail.
Kiranpal was accompanied by the family members of Daljit Singh Kalsi, another prisoner and associate of Amritpal.
Amritpal Singh’s close aides Papalpreet and uncle Harjit Singh, along with nine other associates, have been lodged in Dibrugarh jail since March.
