‘On the Road’ is India’s first road-trip thriller, filmed entirely in the stunning valleys of Ladakh. A few months ago, acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma revealed its initial poster and teaser trailer. Director Surya Lakkoju explains the plot: “An emotionally troubled ex-boyfriend unexpectedly shows up at his ex-girlfriend’s remote road trip. I believe that the captivating storyline, complemented by Ladakh’s beautiful scenery, will enhance the emotional impact.” The film, directed by Surya Lakkoju, who has worked with Ram Gopal Varma on several projects, is produced by Lakkoju and Rajesh Sharma under the SPL Pictures banner. The team is preparing for the movie’s release on October 10, 2025, in both Telugu states.
