OnePlus has officially revealed its much-anticipated flagship, the OnePlus 15, during its October 2025 launch event in China. Following months of rumors and leaks, the company’s latest model showcases significant advancements in design, performance, and battery life, potentially positioning it as one of the most powerful Android smartphones of the year. The OnePlus 15 features a newly designed aesthetic with a square-shaped triple-camera module, marking a departure from the circular design of its predecessor. Its sleek and compact profile ensures comfortable handling while exuding a premium appearance. On the front, the device boasts a 6.78-inch OLED display with an impressive 165Hz refresh rate, promising smooth scrolling, fluid animations, and an enhanced gaming experience.
Although the resolution is capped at 1.5K, OnePlus explained that this compromise was necessary to balance performance, battery longevity, and display technology costs, stating that a 165Hz panel at QHD+ resolution is not yet technically feasible. The screen’s minimum brightness of just 1 nit makes it more comfortable for use at night. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which offers substantial improvements in both CPU and GPU performance. With up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, the OnePlus 15 is designed to provide outstanding multitasking and superior gaming capabilities. Operating on OxygenOS globally and ColorOS in China, users can expect smooth navigation, AI-driven enhancements, and faster app responses.
A standout feature of the OnePlus 15 is its massive 7,300mAh battery, the largest ever in a OnePlus flagship. This is paired with 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge support, enabling users to recharge their devices in a matter of minutes. However, OnePlus has not confirmed whether the global variant will feature this substantial battery, as regional regulations may influence battery configurations in various markets. In terms of photography, the OnePlus 15 continues the brand’s tradition of excellence. It includes a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup, featuring a primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3.5x optical zoom telephoto lens—an upgrade from the 3x zoom found in the OnePlus 13.
While the new flagship does not carry the Hasselblad branding, OnePlus asserts that its proprietary imaging algorithms provide enhanced color accuracy and better low-light performance. Real-world camera evaluations will ultimately determine the validity of these claims. In China, the OnePlus 15’s pricing starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately ₹50,000) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, reaching up to CNY 5,399 (around ₹67,000) for the top-tier 16GB + 1TB version. The device is available in three finishes: Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune, with the latter featuring a distinctive sandstone-inspired matte texture. For Indian consumers, OnePlus has hinted at “something special” arriving on October 29, suggesting a possible launch in early November 2025.
Industry predictions indicate that the OnePlus 15 will be priced between ₹60,000 and ₹70,000 in India, akin to the OnePlus 13’s launch price of ₹69,999. With its striking design, next-generation performance, and substantial battery enhancement, the OnePlus 15 appears poised to once again transform the flagship smartphone landscape.
