Public Hearing on Women's Issues Held in Devipatan Division

Lucknow/Gonda, October 6: In line with the Yogi government’s Mission Shakti 5.0 initiative, a special WhatsApp application and public hearing program for women, named ‘Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad,’ was launched on Monday at the Devipatan Divisional Headquarters. This initiative, focused on empowering women through dialogue, witnessed over 45 participants from Gonda, Bahraich, Balrampur, and Shravasti districts. Women raised concerns regarding land disputes, village roads, ration cards, housing, and other administrative issues. Divisional Commissioner Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil personally listened to their grievances, resolving four cases immediately and instructing officials to prioritize the remaining complaints. He also ordered officials to visit women at their homes for quicker resolutions, acknowledging that some participants had trouble expressing their issues.

A help desk for women was set up at the venue to assist those unable to write applications. Staff members carefully documented grievances and formatted them properly, providing considerable support to the participants. Among those who shared their concerns were Nazreen, Lakshmi Devi, Poonam, Seema, Chanda Devi, Kajal, Vineeta, Rajkumari, Monica, and Uma, who appreciated the accessible and responsive nature of the platform. Senior women officials, including Additional Commissioner (Judicial) Meenu Rana and Deputy Commissioner (Food) Vijay Prabha, were also present to ensure prompt action on various complaints. Commissioner Sushil made numerous phone calls to relevant officials during the session, giving explicit instructions for immediate resolution and for the submission of action reports.

He stressed that complaints received via WhatsApp should be treated seriously and resolved without delay. The initiative has enhanced women’s trust in the administration, with many expressing confidence that their concerns are being acknowledged. They commended the Yogi government for establishing a dedicated platform for women’s empowerment and problem-solving. Furthermore, participants learned about the Viksit Uttar Pradesh @ 2047 vision, with many women contributing their suggestions and ideas for the state’s development goals. Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guidance, this weekly public hearing at the Devipatan division has become a fundamental aspect of Mission Shakti, ensuring that women’s empowerment, safety, and self-reliance are prioritized in governance.
