Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued a stern warning after a key suspect was identified in the deadly explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, which resulted in thirteen fatalities and over twenty injuries. At the Delhi Defence Dialogue hosted by the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), Singh affirmed that those accountable will receive the severest punishment. He emphasized the government’s serious approach to this tragic event and noted that leading investigative agencies are conducting a swift and thorough inquiry. Singh also assured that the results of the investigation would be disclosed soon.
Additionally, he expressed profound sorrow over the loss of lives, extended condolences to the victims’ families, and urged the public to remain calm as the investigation unfolds.
