Realme GT 8 Pro Launches in India with Innovative Camera Features

Realme has officially launched its newest flagship device, the Realme GT 8 Pro, in India, aiming to compete with major models like the OnePlus 15 and Oppo Find X9 series. The GT lineup is known for its performance, and the GT 8 Pro enhances this reputation with superior hardware, bold design, and photography advancements developed in collaboration with Ricoh. The launch coincides with the increasing interest in the flagship smartphone market as 2025 approaches. Unlike its predecessors that focused on sheer power, the GT 8 Pro adopts a comprehensive strategy by integrating the state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a revamped camera system that has been in development for four years.

At a time when flagship designs have become somewhat uniform, Realme embraces creativity with the GT 8 Pro. It features interchangeable camera modules, enabling users to customize the camera housing’s look. Each module—whether square, round, or themed—attaches with two Torx screws and magnets, introducing a playful, DIY vibe rarely seen in this category. The back of the device is crafted from paper-like vegan leather made from recycled materials, processed through Photonic Nano-Carving, giving it a sophisticated texture while being environmentally friendly. The standout feature of the GT 8 Pro is its camera system, which is a product of Realme’s collaboration with Ricoh, a respected name in photography.

The main camera boasts a 50-megapixel anti-glare sensor along with the innovative Ricoh GR mode. This mode offers five distinct film-inspired tones—Positive, Negative, High-Contrast Black & White, Standard, and Monochrome—enabling users to emulate classic GR photography styles directly from their device. In addition to the primary camera, the GT 8 Pro includes: – A 200-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical and up to 12x lossless zoom – A 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor – 4K 120fps recording with Dolby Vision Realme emphasizes that its four-year partnership with Ricoh aims to provide mobile photographers with greater artistic control and professional-quality results.

The GT 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful processor, complemented by Realme’s R1 graphics chip for enhanced gaming and rendering, along with the Hyper Vision AI Chip for improved AI features. To manage heat during intensive tasks, Realme has incorporated a 7,000 sq mm vapor chamber cooling system, which helps maintain performance during gaming, multitasking, or high-resolution photography. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, delivering a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,000 nits, making it one of the brightest screens available. It is powered by a robust 7,000mAh battery, all within a slim 8.2mm frame.

Realme provides 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge and stay connected throughout the day. The GT 8 Pro is competitively priced in India at: – Rs 72,999 for the 12GB/256GB version – Rs 78,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant Customers can also benefit from bank discounts up to Rs 5,000, and early buyers will receive a free Deco set with swappable camera modules. For enthusiasts, Realme has launched the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, created in collaboration with the Aston Martin F1 team, priced at Rs 79,999 and available exclusively in the 16GB/512GB configuration. The first sale is scheduled for November 25 on Realme’s official website, Flipkart, and in physical retail stores.

With its combination of flagship capabilities, innovative imaging solutions, and distinct design features, the Realme GT 8 Pro is poised to make a significant impact in India’s high-end smartphone market.
