Mumbai: Celebrated Tarot card reader, healer, and entrepreneur Rinhee Suberwal commemorates her birthday on October 14th, viewing it as a time for reflection, gratitude, and spiritual connection. “We are just going out with our family members because they are the ones who ultimately matter to me the most,” she expresses warmly. “Also, we are going to celebrate the success of the YUVAA Icon Awards in the coming days, which makes this birthday even more special.” When asked about her preferences for celebrations, Rinhee smiles, saying, “I love to celebrate with friends and family, and that is what I do every year. For me, being surrounded by loved ones is more important than anything extravagant.” Her birthday rituals start with spirituality.
“I begin my day with prayers and healing for others. My first ritual is to worship Goddess Baglamukhi and Goddess Kali before anything else,” she shares. “People assume healers are self-centered, but for me, the essence of Goddess Kali symbolizes justice and strength.” Despite her spiritual commitments, her schedule allows little time for relaxation. “We are always working,” she admits. “Whether it’s Sunday or Monday, it doesn’t make any difference. Like actors, our profession keeps us constantly engaged.” Reflecting on her most cherished birthday memories brings tears to her eyes. “The most treasured gift I ever received was from my grandmother. She dedicated her life to me, and since her passing, birthdays feel incomplete,” she confides softly.
When considering a gift for herself this year, she ponders deeply. “I want to give myself respect. After all I’ve done and fought for, that’s the only thing I ask from the Almighty. I’m not a soft healer—I’m a fiery one, and I want people to appreciate those who give so much of themselves.” As she celebrates this year, her thoughts linger on her late grandmother. “This is my first birthday without her,” Rinhee remarks. “And she’s the one person without whom my birthday will never be complete.”
