The internal conflict within the INDIA alliance regarding seat-sharing in Bihar has now impacted Jharkhand, creating tensions between the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). At a press conference in Giridih, JMM general secretary Sudeep Kumar Sonu accused the RJD and Congress of dishonesty and neglecting coalition principles after the JMM was excluded from seat allocations in Bihar. Consequently, some JMM officials called for the removal of the RJD from the Jharkhand Cabinet. In retaliation, the RJD argued that the JMM had unreasonably requested its current seats and lacked significant political influence in Bihar.
Conversely, the JMM justified its support for the RJD in Jharkhand as an act of generosity, cautioning the INDIA partners about the repercussions of such neglect within the coalition. This conflict highlights the escalating discomfort among INDIA bloc members as elections approach, emphasizing regional rivalries and the precarious nature of opposition unity.
