Akhil Raj and Tejaswini unite for the eagerly awaited film “Raju Weds Rambai,” which is presented by Dr. Nageshwar Rao Pujari and produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi under Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoons Tales. The film, directed by Saailu Kampati and supported by ETV Win Originals Production, is set to release in theaters on November 21, with a grand release managed by Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works. Producer Sai Krishna provided insights about the project, mentioning that ETV Win aims to change the perception that OTT content is predominantly adult-oriented.
He highlighted their commitment to producing family-friendly narratives, reminiscent of the legacy of Ushakiran Movies, referencing past successes such as 90’s – A Middle Class Biopic, Air, Anaganaga, and Little Hearts. The film draws inspiration from a true event occurring in a village between Warangal and Khammam. After a demo shoot, the team expressed confidence in director Saailu’s vision. Although the story is based on a tragic incident, the narrative is designed to avoid undue heaviness while maintaining emotional depth. The creators decided to retain the original climax, deeming it more appropriate than an alternative version. Sai Krishna commended Saailu’s dedication and the authenticity of the filmmaking, as well as the performances of Akhil, Tejaswini, and Chaitanya Jonnalagadda.
With a majority of the cast and crew being newcomers, the production team ensured creative freedom throughout the filming process. Looking forward, ETV Win is set to release Kanaka Mahalakshmi 2 in December, along with a new film featuring Thiruveer, with the goal of offering at least one new movie to audiences each month.
