Samsung’s eagerly awaited Galaxy S25 FE is set to launch officially by late September 2025. Although the company has not yet made the device public, a Portuguese retailer, MediaMarkt, has listed the smartphone online, revealing its comprehensive specifications. A key feature is that the Galaxy S25 FE will be equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, distinguishing it from the rest of the Galaxy S25 series, which utilizes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite. This positions the FE variant as a somewhat unique offering within the flagship range. Display and Design According to the retailer’s information, the S25 FE will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid visuals for gaming and daily activities.
The display will be safeguarded by Gorilla Glass Victus Plus for enhanced durability. Camera Setup Samsung is maintaining the reliable triple-camera configuration from its previous model. The primary sensor is a 50-megapixel lens with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom with OIS. For selfies, there is a 12-megapixel front camera, providing a versatile setup for photography lovers. Battery and Charging The smartphone is anticipated to contain a 4,900mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. Wireless charging is available but limited to 15W. Furthermore, it incorporates an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for secure access.
AI Features and Software Similar to its flagship counterparts, the S25 FE will be loaded with Galaxy AI tools developed in collaboration with Google Gemini, featuring enhanced photo editing, AI-assisted productivity, and more. Pricing and Availability The MediaMarkt listing indicates that the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at €789.99 (approximately ₹81,000). While Samsung is likely to offer the device in various color options, the retailer has only displayed a Navy Blue variant at this time. Samsung vs Apple: The AI Rivalry In conjunction with this leak, Samsung has been actively marketing against rival Apple.
In its latest commercial in the U.S., the brand mocked Apple’s delayed release of Apple Intelligence, highlighting persistent issues with Siri, even suggesting users rely on OpenAI’s ChatGPT for help. The advertisement features two friends at a pool, where the iPhone user struggles to make his friend appear “decent” in photos with a cloth and a leaf. In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 user simply sketches a rough outline of a Hawaiian shirt on his friend using the “Sketch to Image” feature of Galaxy AI. Within moments, the AI-generated image shows him in a proper red shirt, leaving the iPhone owner frustrated.
This clever jab not only showcased Samsung’s AI advantage but also subtly teased Apple for its absence in the foldable phone market. Such playful rivalries are common, with Google also having taken a shot at Apple Intelligence during the Pixel 10 launch campaign. With the confirmation of the S25 FE through this retailer leak, fans can look forward to the phone’s performance upon its official release in stores.
