Final Reminder: SLAT 2026 Applications End on November 30

The deadline for applications for the Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2026 is November 30. Aspiring law students are urged to finalize their applications to embark on a top-tier legal education. The exam dates are scheduled for December 20, 2025, and December 28, 2025. Administered by Symbiosis International (Deemed University), SLAT serves as the entry point to esteemed undergraduate law programs at Symbiosis Law Schools in Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur. Candidates are allowed to take the exam twice, with the highest score being considered. The SLAT 2026 will take place in 68 cities across India and aims to evaluate candidates’ aptitude for legal studies comprehensively.

The exam utilizes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, consisting of 60 questions to be completed in 60 minutes, and is held annually in December. It comprises five sections: Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and General Knowledge, each containing 12 questions. Importantly, SLAT 2026 does not have negative marking, setting it apart from other law entrance exams. Registration and payment for SLAT 2026 will close on November 30, 2025. The test is crucial for admission into the integrated law programs: B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.A. LL.B., B.B.A. LL.B., and the newly introduced B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) at SLS Pune.

It is essential to note that paying only the SLAT entrance test registration fee does not qualify candidates for shortlisting in any program, irrespective of their SLAT score. Both fees must be submitted as directed on the registration portal; failing to pay the program registration fee will lead to the rejection of the application for that program. No inquiries regarding this matter will be entertained. Admit cards will be issued on December 11, 2025, for SLAT 01 and on December 18, 2025, for SLAT 02. Specific test timings will be stated on each candidate’s admit card, available for download on the registration portal. Results will be declared on January 15, 2026.

For eligibility, applicants must have completed Standard XII (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 45% marks or equivalent grade. For candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, a minimum of 40% marks is necessary. The registration process requires candidates to visit the official portal, enter their personal and academic details, input the OTP sent to their registered email or mobile, and pay the registration fee. The fee is INR 2250 per test, with an additional INR 1000 per program for college selection. Successful registrants will receive their SLAT ID and password via email and SMS. For further inquiries, candidates can log in with their SLAT ID to raise questions.

It is vital to keep a valid email and mobile number throughout the process and ensure that all information matches the candidate’s credentials. Symbiosis International University (SIU) retains the right to cancel any candidature if false information is submitted. Candidates should also remember that payment of only the SLAT entrance test registration fee will not qualify them for shortlisting in any program, regardless of their SLAT score. Both fees need to be paid as outlined on the registration portal. Neglecting to pay the program registration fee will lead to the application being disregarded. No discussions on this matter will be entertained. With a legacy of over 48 years, Symbiosis Law School, Pune, is among India’s leading law institutions.

It consistently ranks in the top five law schools according to NIRF and is recognized globally for its dedication to academic excellence, innovative teaching methods, and impactful legal education that prepares students for leadership roles in the legal field and beyond. SLS Noida provides unparalleled exposure to legal institutions in Delhi-NCR, while SLS Hyderabad merges law with technology and innovation. SLS Nagpur emphasizes inclusive, socially responsible legal education centered in central India. Collectively, they cultivate ethical, future-ready legal professionals nationwide.
