Indian tourists accounted for 22% of all inbound traffic to Sri Lanka this year, with nearly 500,000 visitors arriving from January to early December. Asoka Hettigoda, President of The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka, noted that the tourism industry is thriving, with 25,000 tourists currently enjoying their stay.
