Kolkata, April 27 (). Sukanya Mandal, daughter of Trinamool Congress stalwart Anubrata Mandal, was not only a sharer in the wealth gained from cattle-smuggling in West Bengal, but also an equal partner in the crime. ED sources gave this information.
The ED arrested him in New Delhi on Wednesday evening. He will be produced before the Rouse Avenue Court in the national capital on Thursday. Sources said the central agency would seek his custody for a certain period.
ED sources said it is important to interrogate Sukanya Mondal face-to-face with her father.
Sources said the ED’s counsel is likely to raise questions in the court on Thursday as to how Sukanya Mondal, a primary teacher in a government school in West Bengal, managed to accumulate such a huge amount of money and property in her name.
