The Union Health Ministry has secured three Guinness World Records titles through the national women-focused health initiative, “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (SNSPA), showcasing India’s extensive mobilization in community and preventive healthcare. Running from September 17 to October 2, in alignment with Poshan Maah, the campaign witnessed remarkable community involvement nationwide. The ministry reported that records were established for the highest number of individuals registering on a healthcare platform in a month, totaling 3.21 crore; the most participants enrolling for an online breast-cancer screening in a week, amounting to 9.94 lakh; and the largest number of people signing up for vital-signs screening online in one week at the state level, reaching 1.25 lakh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the initiative, which aimed to enhance the health and nutrition of women, adolescent girls, and children, with a focus on early disease detection, access to vital health services, and the encouragement of healthy lifestyles. PM Modi praised the three Guinness world records achieved by the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan, stating that such large-scale efforts significantly contribute to women empowerment and have a transformative effect on the lives of the nation’s Nari Shakti.
