Sweet Vermicelli

Preparation:
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons ghee
- 1 1/2 cups vermicelli
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 5-6 crushed cardamom pods or 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Few almonds, cashews, and raisins
Method:
- Roast vermicelli: Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a pan over low heat. Add vermicelli and roast until golden brown. Set aside.
- Fry dry fruits: Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in the same pan. Add almonds, cashews, and raisins and fry until lightly browned. Set aside.
- Cook vermicelli: Bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in the same pan. Add crushed cardamom pods or cardamom powder.
- Combine ingredients: Add the roasted vermicelli to the boiling water and cook until the water is absorbed.
- Add sugar and dry fruits: Stir in the granulated sugar and cooked dry fruits. Continue to cook until the sugar melts.
- Finish cooking: Cover the pan and cook until the vermicelli is dry and the sugar has caramelized.
- Serve: Serve the sweet vermicelli hot.
