- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons ground coriander
- 2 tablespoons ground paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
- 2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Method:
- In a small bowl, combine all the spices: ground cumin, ground coriander, ground paprika, ground turmeric, ground ginger, garlic powder, ground cinnamon, ground black pepper, ground cardamom, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Mix thoroughly until all spices are well combined.
- Transfer the spice mix to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.
- Use this tandoori masala spice mix to marinate chicken, lamb, or vegetables for a delicious tandoori flavor.
