Patna: Following the state elections in Bihar, friction within the Lalu Prasad family has intensified, with elder son Tej Pratap Yadav delivering a serious caution to his younger brother, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. The situation has been aggravated by the controversy involving Rohini Acharya, Tej Pratap’s sister. Tej Pratap questioned the current trajectory of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on his Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) Instagram account, asking, “If you expel everyone, who will remain?
This is the question the public is now asking.” He pointed to the party’s electoral results over the last ten years, noting a consistent decline: “80 seats in 2015, 75 seats in 2020, and 25 seats in 2025.” Tej Pratap asserted that despite his past expulsion from the party, he has remained dedicated to its mission. “When I was removed, people thought, ‘Tej Pratap is useless, what difference will it make?’ But when I came out and revealed the truth about the ‘new RJD’, the public understood what they had lost,” he stated. His social media remarks also criticized the RJD’s current leadership and their treatment of women. “First I was removed, then my goddess-like sister, Rohini ji.
The whole of Bihar was laughing, but the family that once made people laugh and cry has itself become the butt of jokes. Today, the voices of the sisters and daughters of Bihar are demanding justice, and I promise, whoever dares to challenge that honour will be destroyed.” He cautioned that the party’s decline could quicken, stating, “Remember, next time, it won’t take long to reduce from 25 to 5. This is just a 20-day feat. If I had campaigned across Bihar, we would have won only five seats this time. The people of Bihar have understood that RJD is no longer a party with Lalu’s ideology but has become a party taken over by Jaichands.”
