Hyderabad, May 1 (). A couple was brutally murdered due to illicit relations in Telangana’s Adilabad district.
The bodies of a 28-year-old married woman and her 19-year-old lover were found on Sunday at Sitagondi hamlet of Garakampet panchayat in Gudihatnoor mandal.
They were identified as Ashwini and Mohd Rehman, residents of Adilabad city. The assailants brutally killed him by crushing his head with stones.
The couple has been missing since Friday, but no missing complaint was lodged with the police.
Preliminary probe has revealed that Ashwini, a mother of two children below the age of eight, was having an illicit relationship with Rahman.
Police suspect that the couple was murdered on the same day they went missing. His scooty has been found near the spot.
Police sent the bodies for post-mortem to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad and registered a case.
The woman, who was married to Ramesh and has two children, had separated from her husband a few months back and was staying at her parents’ house in KRK Nagar in Adilabad city. She had an illicit relationship with Rahman, a resident of Bhuktarpur area of the town.
The police suspect that Ramesh’s family murdered the couple. Police is questioning some suspects.
