Thar Festival 2023 – Programs will be held for 3 days at various places in Barmer

Various programs will be held at Adarsh ​​Stadium of Barmer city on the first day – On March 11, at 8 am, a procession will be taken out from Gandhi Chowk, the inner square of Barmer city to Adarsh ​​Stadium of the city. In which horses, elephants, beds, chariots, camels, non-party, decorated women, Gangaur and artist’s party will also be included.After this, various competitions will be organized in the stadium, in which camel makeup competition, women and men tug of war, grandfather-grandson race, Tharshree, Thar Sundari, Panihari Matka race, couple race, Safa dam competition, drumming, non dance, Rajasthani costumes are prominent. The first day’s program will conclude with a cultural program at 7 pm and a Kavi Sammelan of eminent poets of the country at 9 pm.

Programs will be held at different places on the second day – Painting, Mehndi, Rangoli Mandana competition will be organized on the theme of Rajasthan on the path of progress in Mahavir Town, the biggest town hall of Barmer city at 9 am on March 12. This will be followed by Rangoli, Mandana, Zayko Rajasthan Row Place and traditional games, Rumal Jhapatta, Satoliya and Bhajan Sandhya in Mahavir Town Hall in the evening.

There will be a cultural evening at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Stadium in Balotra on the same evening. And on the same day cultural program will be presented at another place in Shiv.

On the last day there will be a program on the Dhors of Mahabar – On March 13, various competitions will be held at Mahavir Town Hall and Adarsh ​​Stadium. At the same time, the program will end with a cultural program in the dhors of Mahabar at 7 pm.
