In Jharkhand’s Hazaribag district, three Maoists were killed during a gunfight with security forces on Monday. Among the deceased was an individual with a bounty of Rs 1 crore on his head. The confrontation occurred in Pantitri forest around 6 am, involving the squad led by Sahdev Soren of the banned CPI (Maoist) group. Two security personnel sustained injuries but are reported to be safe. The other two Maoists killed were identified as Raghunath Hembram, also known as Chanchal, who had a Rs 25 lakh bounty, and Birsen Ganjhu, a zonal committee member with a reward of Rs 10 lakh.
