New Delhi, March 28 (). Ahmedabad Police’s crime branch on Tuesday said it has arrested thug Kiran Patel’s wife Malini Patel for allegedly trying to illegally occupy the bungalow of a senior citizen Jagdish Chavda (63).
Both Kiran Patel and Malini have been made accused in the FIR. Kiran Patel is accused of working as an official of the PMO in Jammu and Kashmir. He was arrested and is in judicial custody.
Based on the victim’s allegations, a case of cheating was registered against Malini. Both Kiran Patel and his wife Malini have been made accused in the case. The bungalow that they tried to capture is located in a posh area of Ahmedabad. Kiran Patel had threatened the owner of the bungalow that he had links with the PMO.
Chavda lodged a complaint with the local police and eventually an FIR was registered. In his complaint, he said that Kiran Patel contacted him in the first week of February and told that he was a property dealer. Kiran Patel tried to convince the victim that he could get a good price if the bungalow was repaired. Chavda falls for their trap and agrees to their suggestion. Later Malini and some interior designers met him. The accused initially took Rs 35 lakh from Chavda. Chavda had to be shifted due to repair work.
Chavda later learns that Kiran Patel and Malini had changed the name plates and were living in the house claiming to be the owners. He didn’t even get the house repaired. Now the police have made the first arrest in this case.
