Prime Video will feature “Coolie” on September 11, a gangster action drama starring Rajinikanth, which streams just a month after its theatrical release. On September 12, Prime Video will launch “Do You Wanna Partner,” produced by Dharmatic Entertainment. This series stars Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty as childhood best friends who set out to start a craft beer business in a male-dominated industry. Their journey to break stereotypes is met with resistance from skeptical families, stubborn investors, and frustrating bureaucracy. The series also features Jaaved Jaaferi, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, and Neeraj Kabi, blending humor, ambition, and heart for a refreshing take on friendship and female entrepreneurship. “The Girlfriend” will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting September 10. This psychological melodrama is based on Michelle Frances’ bestselling novel and is directed by and stars Robin Wright.
The story follows Laura, a successful woman whose seemingly perfect life is disrupted when her son introduces her to a charming yet unsettling new girlfriend, played by Olivia Cooke. Tensions rise, leading to a dangerous power play between the two women, with Laurie Davidson and Waleed Zuaiter also in the cast. Netflix’s “Saiyaara” premieres on September 12, marking Ahaan Panday’s much-anticipated romantic debut after a successful theatrical run. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is a heartfelt romantic drama featuring Ahaan as Krissh Kapoor, an ill-tempered rockstar, and Aneeta Padda as Vaani, a passionate songwriter grappling with Alzheimer’s disease.
JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar will present “Su From So” on September 9, a quirky comedy-drama that marks the directorial debut of J. P. Thuminad. Set in the picturesque coastal village of Marlur, Karnataka, the film follows Ashoka, a carefree young man whose innocent crush leads to chaos when villagers believe he is possessed by a ghost named Sulochana. What starts as a simple misunderstanding quickly escalates into a series of hilarious misadventures that blend rural superstition with heartfelt humor. Lastly, the hit murder-mystery series “Only Murders in the Building” returns for its fifth season on September 9.
Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez investigate the murder of Lester, the longtime doorman of the Arconia, which leads them into conflicts with billionaires and mobsters. New cast members this season include Meryl Streep, Christoph Waltz, and Renée Zellweger.
