Jammu, April 21 (). Tributes were paid on Friday to the five army personnel killed in Thursday’s terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
A wreath-laying ceremony was conducted in full military traditions at Rajouri to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of five bravehearts of the Indian Army who laid down their lives in the line of duty on April 20, 2023 in Poonch district, the Army said.
Senior officers of the Army and officers of the civil administration were present at the ceremony. Army said- Indian Army’s brave Havaldar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkishan Singh and Sepoy Sevak Singh – all natives of Punjab and Lance Naik Debasish Biswal – native of Odisha, committed terrorist acts on April 20, 2023 Made the supreme sacrifice in the attack.
It said, Indian Army and our proud nation express its solidarity with the bereaved families.
