On October 17, Turkish Airlines, which operates in more countries than any other airline, hosted the World Golf Cup at Willingdon Sports Club in Mumbai. The event attracted local dignitaries and business leaders. Since its launch in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has gathered over 10,000 participants competing in more than 130 tournaments across 83 nations. The Mumbai event marked the 114th tournament of the 130 in this year’s series, with local champions vying for a spot in the Grand Finals to be held in Türkiye later this year.
Winners from this global competition will have the opportunity to play at the prestigious Gloria Golf Club and enjoy a stay at the Gloria Serenity Resort along the Turkish Golf Coast. Parsh Chokshi emerged as the local champion with a score of 45 points, followed by runner-up Manoj Mayani and third place Rani Goenka. Avijit Singh and Rani Goenka won the Closest to the Pin awards for men and women, respectively, while Amish Jaitha took home the Gross award with a score of 68. Fatih Karakoç, Turkish Airlines General Manager in Mumbai, expressed gratitude to guests for making the event a success, congratulating Chokshi and wishing him luck in Türkiye.
All finalists will travel to Türkiye in the comfort of Turkish Airlines’ Business Class, further solidifying Antalya’s status as a premier international golf destination, thanks to the airline’s significant contributions over the past decade.
