Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), May 22 (). Five people, including four women of a family, were killed in a car and truck collision on Monday at Phulwaria intersection of Bhatparrani police post in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh.
Three people were seriously injured and have been admitted to the hospital.
The accident took place around 10.30 am when a car and a truck coming from the opposite direction collided head-on.
After the incident, people gathered on the spot and caught the truck driver. All those who died are residents of Rudrapur. He was going to Mairwa in Bihar for worship.
The deceased have been identified as Pramila Devi (50), Trishul (40), Geetha (45), Siddhi (35) and Ripusudan (3).
Devesh, Anjana and Gudiya get injured. All have been admitted to the district hospital.
