Bulandshahr, June 1 (). Tension prevailed on Thursday after four Hindu temples were vandalized in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district.
Outraged Hindu organizations protested and demanded strict action against the miscreants who attacked the temples.
It is being told that the miscreants have broken 12 idols of Hindu deities.
The incident took place late Wednesday night in Baral area.
When the local people came to know about this, they informed the police on Thursday.
The police immediately reached the spot and sealed the temple premises.
The authorities have also started an investigation into the matter and have assured local Hindu organizations that the miscreants will be arrested at the earliest.
As per preliminary information, the locals suspect that the miscreants deliberately attacked the temples with an intention to disturb communal harmony.
One of the temples that has been attacked by miscreants is believed to be 100 years old and a video on social media shows the idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman there in disrepair.
SP Surendra Nath Tiwari confirmed the incident and assured that all the miscreants will be arrested and punished as per law.
