VinFast has officially launched its highly anticipated premium electric SUVs in India: the sleek VF 6 and sporty VF 7. This marks VinFast’s inaugural entry into India’s fast-growing EV market, emphasizing the company’s dedication to facilitating the country’s shift toward sustainable mobility and establishing itself as a significant player in India’s EV landscape. The VF 6, inspired by the philosophy of ‘The Duality in Nature’, is a premium compact electric SUV that balances fun and sophistication, technology and human focus, achieving an exceptional blend of performance and features. It boasts a 59.6 kWh battery pack with fast charging capabilities (10-70% in 25 minutes) and an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 kilometers. With a wheelbase of 2,730 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm, it is well-suited for Indian family needs.
Customers have ample variant options, as the VF 6 Premium SUV is offered in two interior trim colors and three variants—Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity. The VF 6 Earth variant features a peak power of 130 kW and peak torque of 250 Nm, independent rear suspension for enhanced comfort, multiple drive modes, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, automatic air conditioning, powered driver seat, and cruise control. The VF 6 Wind variant enhances performance with 150 kW peak power and 310 Nm peak torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds. It includes premium vegan leather upholstery, an 8-speaker audio system, colored heads-up display projection, adaptive cruise control, and a full ADAS Level 2 suite with advanced safety features.
The VF 6 Wind Infinity variant adds a panoramic fixed glass roof. Standard features across the VF 6 include auto LED projector headlamps, signature lights, an acoustic windshield, keyless entry, and a connected car system. The VF 7, embodying the design philosophy of ‘The Universe is Asymmetrical’, combines bold exteriors with a premium interior. This large SUV exceeds 4.5 meters in length and features a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. Available in two battery packs and five variants—Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity—the VF 7 offers two interior color options and drivetrain configurations: FWD and AWD.
The VF 7 Earth variant features a 59.6 kWh battery pack, a motor generating 130 kW peak power, and 250 Nm peak torque, with a charging time of just 24 minutes (10-70%). Standard features include vegan leather upholstery, dual-zone air conditioning, powered driver seat, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The VF 7 Wind variant is equipped with a larger 70.8 kWh battery pack, providing a maximum power of 150 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds. The VF 7 Sky variant adds a dual motor setup with 260 kW peak power and 500 Nm peak torque, reaching 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.
The VF 7 Wind Infinity and Sky Infinity include a panoramic fixed glass roof. Standard features on the VF 7 include large alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, a colored heads-up display, and advanced safety features. VinFast has developed a comprehensive ecosystem for a positive ownership experience, partnering with leading banks for tailored financing solutions and collaborating with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to establish a nationwide charging and after-sales service network. VinFast India is rapidly expanding, aiming for 35 dealer touchpoints and 26 workshops across 27 cities by the end of 2025, including major cities and emerging EV hubs.
