Weather in Rajasthan is expected to change during Holi, with a western disturbance likely to bring cloud cover over four districts of the Bikaner division. Some areas may witness light rain or drizzle.
On Sunday, Barmer’s temperature soared close to 40°C, signaling an early onset of intense heat. With rising temperatures, coolers and fans have already started running in western Rajasthan. Cities like Churu, Nagaur, and Dausa recorded temperatures around 35°C. Weather experts predict that the state will continue to experience similar conditions until Holi, with temperatures rising by 1-2°C.
Scorching Heat Grips Rajasthan
Throughout Sunday, the weather remained clear across Rajasthan. However, by evening, light clouds appeared over Jaisalmer, Barmer, and Jodhpur. Due to low humidity and high-altitude clouds, rainfall did not occur. A mild breeze was observed in these areas.
The heatwave intensified across the state, with Barmer recording the highest temperature at 39.4°C. Maximum temperatures in Sri Ganganagar, Churu, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Barmer were recorded 4°C above the seasonal average.

Not just the days, but nights are also warming up. Barmer recorded a minimum temperature of 22.1°C, Phalodi 21.2°C, Jaisalmer 17.3°C, Sikar 17.5°C, Jaipur 18.2°C, and Bikaner 17.5°C.
Weather Outlook for the Coming Days
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, Rajasthan will experience dry weather with intense sunlight until March 12. During this period, temperatures across several cities may range between 33°C and 40°C. By March 13, temperatures are expected to rise by another 2-3°C.
Weather to Shift on March 13
A weak western disturbance is set to impact Rajasthan from March 13. This system is expected to bring partial cloud cover and possibly light rain in the districts of the Bikaner division on March 13 and 14.
