Weather : Due to weakening northern winds, daytime temperatures in Rajasthan have started to rise. Yesterday, Dungarpur and Barmer recorded a maximum temperature of 35°C. According to the Meteorological Department, a change in wind direction from today could lead to a further increase in temperature.
Temperature Likely to Rise Over the Next Week
Weather experts predict that by Holi and Dhulandi, several cities in Rajasthan could experience temperatures reaching up to 35°C. In the past 24 hours, skies remained clear across the state, and several areas recorded a rise of 4-5°C in temperature.
Barmer Hottest, Rising Heat in Western Rajasthan
Yesterday, Barmer recorded the highest temperature in Rajasthan at 36.4°C, followed by Dungarpur at 35.1°C.
Several other cities, including Jaipur, Pilani, Bhilwara, Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Bharatpur, Churu, and Dholpur, also recorded temperatures of 30°C or higher.
Western Rajasthan also witnessed a significant rise in temperature:
- Jaisalmer – 34.5°C
- Jodhpur – 33.7°C
- Jalore – 34.3°C
- Bikaner – 32.6°C
Dry Weather for the Next 2-3 Days, Further Temperature Increase Expected
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, Rajasthan is likely to experience dry weather over the next 2-3 days, with temperatures rising by another 2-3°C. The weather is expected to remain completely clear until March 10, with strong sunlight during the daytime, increasing the feeling of heat.
