Jaipur. The central government has made significant announcements in this year’s budget 2025 to strengthen Rajasthan’s infrastructure. The government has promised loan guarantees for road and drinking water projects in the state.
Under this budget2025, Rajasthan State Highways will receive ₹321.21 crore, Rajasthan Rural Drinking Water Distribution Project will get ₹255 crore, and the Rajasthan State Highway Development Project has also been given a loan guarantee.
This year, Rajasthan will receive ₹10,000 crore more from central taxes compared to the previous year. For the next financial year, the central government will distribute a total of ₹14.22 lakh crore among the states, out of which Rajasthan will receive ₹85,716 crore.
A 6.26% share of the central tax revenue collected from Rajasthan is allocated back to the state. Last year, this amount was ₹75,047.76 crore, which has now increased to ₹85,716 crore.

- Corporation Tax – ₹23,934.98 crore
- Income Tax – ₹31,936.24 crore
- Central GST – ₹24,954.27 crore
- Customs – ₹3,945.35 crore
- Union Excise Duty – ₹819.64 crore
Congress Leader Govind Singh Dotasra Criticizes the Budget 2025
Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra has slammed the budget 2025, calling it unfair to Rajasthan. He made several allegations:
- Rajasthan was not even mentioned in the budget 2025.
- The state has once again been discriminated against.
- No announcement was made to declare ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project) a national project.
- No decision on the Yamuna water agreement.
- The country is suffering from poverty, inflation, and unemployment, but the budget 2025 ignored these issues.
- The ‘Modi government’s loot’ of the middle class continues.
- Unemployed youth are struggling, but no policy was announced for job creation.
- Farmers were once again betrayed, as there was no mention of MSP (Minimum Support Price).
- The old pension scheme (OPS) was not addressed, showing the government’s disappointing stance.
- The budget 2025 mainly focused on election-bound states like Bihar.
While the central government has increased Rajasthan’s share in tax revenues, opposition leaders have criticized the budget 2025 for neglecting key projects and issues like water scarcity, employment, and farmer welfare.
