New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Centre declared a Rs 160 increase in the minimum support price (MSP) for wheat, raising it to Rs 2,585 per quintal for the 2026-27 marketing year. This adjustment is aimed at enhancing domestic production and providing fair prices to farmers. For the 2025-26 marketing year (April-March), the wheat MSP stands at Rs 2,425 per quintal. The CCEA has sanctioned the MSP increase for all six designated rabi crops for the 2026-27 marketing season.
