Women Entrepreneurs Serve Traditional Dishes at Food Court

Greater Noida, September 28: The highlight of the ongoing UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida is the Food Court this year. At the ‘Flavours of UP’ stalls, traditional dishes from across the state are attracting large crowds. These delicacies not only delight attendees but also showcase Uttar Pradesh’s rich culinary heritage to the nation and beyond. The Food Court is designed to allow visitors to enjoy flavors from the entire state in one location. Stalls feature a variety of dishes, including Moradabad’s dal with biscuit roti, Lucknow’s famous galouti kebabs, Tunday kebabs, and aromatic Lucknowi biryani. Banaras offers its renowned paan, tangy tomato chaat, and kulhad chai, which have quickly become favorites among visitors.

Kanpur presents dahi jalebi and samosa chaat, while Agra entices with its signature petha and bedai. Mathura’s peda, Prayagraj’s tehri and lassi, Gorakhpur’s thekua, and Ballia’s litti-chokha are also drawing in large crowds. Meerut’s rabri and gajak, Ayodhya’s gujiya and desi ghee sweets, and Bareilly’s aloo tikki with seekh kebabs further enrich the culinary experience. In addition to traditional offerings, popular QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) are also represented. Alongside Domino’s, Subway, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Burger King, visitors can find Indian and international flavors from brands like Wow! Momo, Chaayos, Taco Bell, and Bikanervala. Long lines can be seen at these stalls, particularly among young patrons enjoying these fast food options.

Special food stalls, set up by UPSRLM (Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission), feature dishes made by rural women and entrepreneurs, which have received high praise from visitors. These stalls not only serve food but also promote the self-reliant rural economy and women’s empowerment. The Food Court is lively, creating an atmosphere as if the entire state has gathered in one place. Wherever food is served, eager crowds gather. In the ‘UP Khau Gali’ area, an enticing selection of foods from Banaras, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Agra, Aligarh, Ballia, Gorakhpur, and Ghazipur is showcased. By evening, the space fills up quickly as families and friends enjoy chaat, sweets, and beverages in a festive ambiance.
