The team of director Geetu Mohandas’s anticipated action film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups, starring Yash, is set to relocate to Bengaluru for its final filming schedule. Having recently wrapped a shooting session in Mumbai, the unit has accomplished what is being hailed as one of the most ambitious and logistically challenging action sequences ever undertaken in Indian cinema. The extensive Mumbai segment, which lasted 45 days, was executed on a grand scale and is now complete. This high-energy schedule included significant action scenes, crafted under the guidance of Hollywood action director JJ Perry. With the conclusion of the demanding Mumbai phase, most principal photography has been finished.
The team will transition to Bengaluru in the last week of September for the concluding segment of filming, after which the production of Toxic will officially be completed. A production insider remarked, “The Mumbai schedule was undeniably the film’s most difficult and ambitious phase, featuring some of the largest and most intricate action sequences ever seen in Indian cinema.” The collaboration merged Geetu Mohandas’s distinctive storytelling style with JJ Perry’s action skills, with Yash bridging these filmmaking elements to produce a unique experience for viewers. The source further noted that the main action scenes have now been completed, with the upcoming Bengaluru schedule concentrating on several crucial sequences.
“The team has invested their utmost effort and is enthusiastic about the final schedule,” the insider added. After six months of shooting, the unit is returning to Bengaluru, completing the journey that began in the city. Following the wrap-up in Mumbai, Yash will travel to London for significant meetings regarding global partnerships for Toxic. The film has generated substantial anticipation, as its creators claim it blends spectacle with storytelling, enhanced by Yash’s broad appeal, Geetu Mohandas’s creative vision, and the action expertise of JJ Perry. At its heart, the film aims to maintain emotional depth, connecting with audiences beyond its striking visuals.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is being filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English to resonate with both Indian and global audiences, and will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam to maximize its reach. Produced by Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 19, 2026.
