Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a passionate speech at a public rally in Patna’s Digha constituency, attacking the RJD-Congress Grand Alliance. He accused the alliance of bringing Bihar to a state of looting, caste violence, and lawlessness. Yogi recalled that during Lalu Yadav’s administration, there were six dozen caste massacres, and that women and traders lived in constant fear. He claimed that the previous regime had tarnished Bihar’s image, while the NDA government has restored people’s faith and is leading the state towards a ‘golden era.’ He noted that the same underprivileged individuals who were previously deprived are now receiving benefits such as free rations, health insurance, housing, and gas connections under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance.
Yogi emphasized that 80 crore citizens are benefiting from free rations and 50 crore are receiving health coverage. He reminded the audience of Bihar’s historical significance in upholding democracy, referencing Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan’s leadership in overthrowing the Congress dictatorship. He criticized opposition leaders, comparing the Grand Alliance to ‘three monkeys’ — Pappu, Tappu, and Appu — representing ignorance and ineptitude. The Chief Minister highlighted the advancements in both Bihar and Uttar Pradesh under Modi’s leadership, mentioning the construction of a grand temple for Lord Ram in Ayodhya and a temple for Maa Janaki in Sitamarhi, along with a ₹6,155 crore investment for a new four-lane road connecting the two cities.
Yogi affirmed that Bihar is now equipped with modern amenities like metro services, airports, and smart cities, positioning it as a semiconductor hub that will benefit the nation. He remarked on the rapid development enabled by the NDA’s double-engine government, contrasting travel times compared to the past. Yogi urged voters to support the NDA to prevent a return to anarchy and called for a decisive victory for BJP candidate Sanjeev Chaurasia in Digha, promising to resolve a long-standing land dispute if the NDA is elected. He also stated that Naxalism would be eradicated from India by 2026, warning against the resurgence of the CPI(ML), which he characterized as thriving on disorder.
He concluded by stating that only the NDA can deliver a prosperous and self-sufficient Bihar.
