Mumbai, May 6 (). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been awarded the Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award. Former President Ramnath Kovind honored him with the award at the Shree Shanmukhananda Auditorium in Mumbai on Friday. Member of Legislative Council Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal came from Lucknow and received the award on behalf of the Chief Minister.
Kovind, who came as the chief guest in this program organized by Budhanjali Research Foundation, said that Yogi Adityanath has done the work of making the state fear-free by ending hooliganism in Uttar Pradesh. Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said that Yogi Adityanath is his friend and goons, mafia in Uttar Pradesh today tremble at his name.
Dr. Lalji Prasad Nirmal said that Yogi has done a commendable job by ordering Dr. Ambedkar’s photo to be installed in government departments of Uttar Pradesh. By making Dr. Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath has fulfilled the dreams of Mai Sahab Dr. Savita Ambedkar. Yogi Adityanath has become the messiah of the downtrodden today.
President of Budhanjali Foundation and organizer of the event, Kailash Masoom said that he is feeling proud to give Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award to Yogi Adityanath. The Yogi government is working keeping in mind the interests of the Dalits, the backward and the underprivileged, taking everyone along.
On this occasion, film actors Prem Chopra, Udit Narayan and Rajpal Yadav, including talents from other regions of the country were also honored with the 13th Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award.
