New Delhi, April 17 (). A 20-year-old youth was stabbed to death near Khan Market on Sunday evening, triggering a sensation in the posh shopping area. Police gave this information.
The victim, identified as Akash, was attacked around 8 pm on the road opposite Loknayak Bhavan, a police official said. The assailant hit Akash on the upper right side of his abdomen.
Local residents found him in a critical condition and took him to RML Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, the official said.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, but the motive behind the attack is not clear. Though it appears to be a result of personal enmity, we are probing all angles, the officer said.
The incident has shaken the area, which is known for upscale shopping and fine dining experiences.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, with many raising concerns about the current law and order situation.
According to the police, Akash’s brother works in a salon, while his father works as a housekeeping.
