Ayodhya, June 4 (). With the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, both the condition and direction of Ayodhya is changing. Tremendous work is being done in Ayodhya in the name of spiritual city. Ayodhya is turning into a religious and tourist destination.
Where earlier only small hotels and Dharamshalas were seen, in a few years luxury five star hotels will start appearing there. Ayodhya is going to be special for the hospitality sector. Big five star hotels are showing their interest and are preparing to open their hotel chains here.
Along with big hotels, food chains of big companies are also exploring their possibilities in Ayodhya and now preparations have started to establish them here. The entire map of Ayodhya is going to change in the next 1 to 2 years.
The movement of tourists from all over the world will start here, in such a way hotels, restaurants, theaters as well as shopping complexes are exploring every possible possibility for themselves. Many big companies have also found land for themselves here and have started work.
If we look at the figures for the years 2021 and 2022, about four crore tourist devotees have come to Ayodhya. After the construction of Lord Shri Ram’s temple in 2024, when the Lord will sit in the womb, this figure is estimated to reach close to 8 to 10 crores. In view of this, on the one hand the government has announced subsidy for Dharamshalas and Yatri Niwas for the accommodation facilities of pilgrims in Ayodhya, on the other hand there has been an increase in the business of hotel industry.
If we talk about the hotel industry, then 5 and 7 star hotels are being constructed in Ayodhya. The government has given approval to about 30 big hotels in the last one month. The local already built hotels of Ayodhya are also being expanded. In Ayodhya’s famous Panchsheel Hotel, where there used to be around 50 rooms, now 50 more rooms are being constructed to make a 100 room hotel.
In a special conversation with , Municipal Commissioner of Ayodhya Municipal Corporation Vishal Singh said that a large number of people will come to Ayodhya as soon as the Ram temple starts and their accommodation will also be taken care of. A plan has been prepared for this. Work is being done on the same plan. For this, we have made a plan that a large number of hotels should be built here, for which the tourism department has also made a lot of changes in the tourism policy. The tourism department has exempted hotels from development charges.
In the last one to one and a half months, the map of 30 hotels has been passed, on which work has also started. It is expected that they will be available by December. Along with this, a study has also been done about the already existing Dharamshala and guest house in Ayodhya. They are being updated.
The already existing Dharamshala and guest house will be renovated. Their special design will also be taken care of so that the travelers coming here, along with living in them, also work to understand Ayodhya. Along with this, there are many Panchayati temples which are being updated so that they can be used by the people in the coming times.
Efforts are being made to make those rooms available to the people by handholding those who have houses with more than 5 rooms, by improving their capacity. Home stays will be available in about 6000 rooms from November to December.
Municipal Commissioner Vishal Singh said that a tent city is also being built in which tenders for 50 tent cities have already been floated. We have seen another land which is of 150 hectares. A bigger tent city will be made on the lines of Banaras. As soon as the construction of the Ram temple starts, the number of devotees coming to Ayodhya will start increasing continuously and it will be the responsibility of the district administration to take special care of their stay, stay, food and their safety on their arrival.
In view of this, the district administration has started the work with speed from now itself. Municipal Corporation is busy in its work. He told that in view of the ever-increasing pressure of the coming devotees, efforts are being made that all the devotees who reach here and have to stay here in hotels, guest houses, OYOs or homestays, do not face any problem. For this, efforts are being made from our side to make available accommodation for about 1 lakh people here in the coming times.
