New Delhi, March 31 (). Under the educational expansion of Ambedkar University, the Delhi government will start 5 new schools for undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the academic session 2023-24.
These new schools include Public Policy, Mathematics and Data Science, Indigenous Knowledge and Tribal Studies, Media Studies and Philosophy and Religious Studies. Education Minister Atishi held a review meeting in this regard on Friday with officials of Ambedkar University and Higher Education Department.
Sharing on the educational expansion of the university, 5 new schools for UG and PG courses are starting in Ambedkar University from the coming session, Education Minister Atishi said that adding these new schools to Ambedkar University will improve the quality of higher education in India and This is a significant step towards preparing the students as per the rapidly changing industrial demands. He said that through these schools the university would focus on developing new age skills of 21st century among the students.
He said, under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, providing opportunities for skill-based education is the priority of higher education institutions. In this direction, these new schools are being started in Ambedkar University.
Education Minister Atishi said that the higher education institutions of any country decide to what heights that country will reach. In this direction, these new schools of Ambedkar University will establish new dimensions of higher education in India and promote diversity and innovation in the field of higher education.
The Education Minister said that these new schools will equip our students with the necessary skills by offering specialized programs such as Public Policy, Mathematics and Data Sciences and Media Studies. He said that the launch of these new schools is a positive initiative for higher education in India.
It is noteworthy that under the expansion project of Ambedkar University, the Kejriwal government is going to construct two new campuses of Ambedkar University at Dhirpur and Rohini. The campus of Ambedkar University at Rohini is spread over 164130 sqm. While the campus in Dhirpur will be spread over 200759 Sq. After the construction of these two campuses, more than 26,000 students will be able to enroll here.
