Honor has officially introduced its eagerly awaited Magic V5 in Europe, claiming to be the world’s thinnest foldable smartphone. Launched in China last month, this device is now accessible to European consumers, with prices starting at £1,699.99 / €1,999 (approximately $2,300). It is accompanied by two additional slim devices—the MagicPad 3 tablet and the MagicBook Art 14 laptop. The Magic V5 is only 0.1mm thinner than the Oppo Find N5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, although this comparison is relevant only for the white model due to material variations.
Despite its camera bump rendering it bulkier than its competitors, the V5 excels in battery technology, featuring a 15 percent silicon-carbon blend and a substantial 5,820mAh battery, significantly larger than Samsung’s 4,400mAh, aimed at alleviating battery life issues. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM. Its IP58 / 59 rating for water and dust resistance is nearly on par with the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the solid triple-camera configuration, which includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 64MP telephoto lens.
In addition to the foldable phone, Honor unveiled the MagicPad 3, a 13.3-inch Android tablet boasting a 165Hz LCD display, a sleek 5.8mm profile, and an impressive 12,450mAh battery with 66W fast charging, launching in the UK for £599.99 (around $800). Rounding out the collection is the MagicBook Art 14, a premium Windows laptop crafted with a magnesium-titanium chassis measuring just 10mm thick. It features a 14.6-inch OLED display with 3.1K resolution and is powered by Intel processors, including the Arc 140T GPU, prioritizing style and sleekness over sheer power. This laptop is priced at £1,499.99 / €1,699 (approximately $2,000).
Honor’s latest product lineup underscores the brand’s commitment to developing sleek, lightweight devices that combine innovative design with practical performance across various categories.
