India's Players to Wear Blank Jerseys at Asia Cup 2025

As India gears up for the Asia Cup 2025, fans will notice a distinctive change—key players such as Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill will wear jerseys devoid of any sponsor logos, highlighting the word “India” more prominently. This decision follows Dream11’s choice to terminate its sponsorship with the BCCI in August 2025, citing new government regulations on online gaming that cut short its ₹358 crore agreement made in 2023, which was initially set to last until 2026. The BCCI has already initiated the search for a new sponsor, having released an official Invitation to Tender (ITT), allowing interested companies to submit their bids until mid-September.

However, since updates confirm that the Asia Cup starts on September 9, the team will commence its campaign without any branding on their jerseys. This situation isn’t entirely unprecedented, as jerseys have also been seen without commercial sponsors during ICC tournaments. Suryakumar and Gill’s jersey change will be under the spotlight as India kicks off its Asia Cup 2025 journey. The team is scheduled to depart for the UAE on September 4, with their first match against the UAE on September 10 in Dubai. A highly anticipated match against Pakistan follows on September 14, also in Dubai, before they play against Oman in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
