The city of Mumbai celebrated the inauguration of “Osho Glimpse,” its first exclusive bookstore dedicated to the works of the renowned spiritual leader Osho. The event at Andheri West was attended by Padma Shri recipient Anup Jalota and celebrated singer Rekha Bhardwaj. Many enthusiastic readers and fans participated in the ceremony, where they bought Osho’s books and received autographs from the esteemed guests. Rekha Bhardwaj captivated the audience with a heartfelt rendition of her famous Sufi song “Tere Ishq Mein.” Both Anup Jalota and Rekha Bhardwaj engaged the attendees by reading selected excerpts from Osho’s writings, which highlighted the profound inspiration and philosophical insights of his teachings.
During the event, Anup Jalota shared his long-standing connection to Osho, expressing, “My family and I have been connected to Osho for decades. His teachings are vast; his books inspire and offer new perspectives on life. I read and listen to Osho daily.” He reminisced about his numerous interactions with Osho, underscoring the guru’s significant literary contributions and their influence on his spiritual journey. Rekha Bhardwaj also conveyed her appreciation for Osho’s teachings, mentioning that his guidance on meditation and self-awareness has fostered peace and personal growth in her career. She remarked, “Osho illuminated my path in Sufi music and spirituality.
His books and insights enrich my life in innumerable ways.” She referred to Osho’s Ashram as her spiritual sanctuary, a place she returns to annually for the Monsoon Festival. “Osho Glimpse” aims to be a dynamic environment for seekers to delve into Osho’s philosophy, acquire beautifully crafted books, and experience the spiritual heritage that continues to resonate with millions globally.
