Patna, April 18 (). A month after obscene videos were played on television screens of Patna railway station, a similar case has come to the fore in Bhagalpur. Here obscene material was shown on an LED public awareness screen. Sources gave this information on Tuesday.
The LED display screen at Ambedkar Chowk near Bhagalpur railway station showed obscene material on Monday.
A large number of people gathered there and some captured the message on camera on mobile phones and put it on social media. The district administration of Bhagalpur immediately swung into action and removed the display board and the message.
Investigation revealed that the Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation had awarded the contract to Jeevan Jagruti Society for the beautification of the city. It has also installed LED display boards at some places in the city to make people aware of traffic rules.
The LED display board is operated from a control room. Society president Ajay Kumar claimed that it was hacked by some people. Hence, the obscene message was displayed on the screen.
Kotwali police station SHO Jawahar Prasad Yadav said, “We have registered an FIR against unknown people on the application of Dr Ajay Kumar, president of Jeevan Jagruti Society. It has been hacked. We are probing the matter. No one has been arrested yet.
Earlier on March 20, an obscene video was played on the LED screen of Patna Junction, after which there was a lot of uproar.
