Bhubaneswar, April 29 (). Renowned sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has created a sand figure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 100 radios to celebrate 100 episodes of Mann Ki Baat at Puri beach in Odisha.
Patnaik has created an 8-feet high sand art using around seven tonnes of sand.
He also made a sand sculpture of the Prime Minister from 100 sand radios. Students from his sand art school joined him to complete the sculpture.
Earlier, I made some sand sculptures in Mann Ki Baat on various occasions, Patnaik said. Apart from this, sand sculptures on radio were also made on occasions like World Radio Day.
First broadcast on 3 October 2014, Modi’s flagship radio address will complete 100 episodes on 30 April.
Till date, the Padma winning artist has participated in more than 60 international sand art competitions and festivals across the world and won several awards.
He always tries to create awareness on various social issues through his sand art. His sand arts are appreciated by the United Nations, WHO and UN Environment.
