New Delhi, April 1 (). BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has written to the Election Commission and Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, demanding strict action against Harbhajan Singh ETO, cabinet minister in the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab, for violating the election code of conduct.
Accusing Harbhajan Singh ETO of violating the election code of conduct in his complaint letter, Chugh has written that the AAP minister was involved in blatant violation of the model code of conduct and breaking the law in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha. He has flagrantly violated the model code of conduct of the constituency by putting up posters against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency.
Chugh alleged that the posters against Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not have the name of the printer nor did it mention who issued them. That’s why this poster is completely illegal poster.
According to the BJP General Secretary, since the Jalandhar Lok Sabha constituency is going to have a by-election on May 10, such illegal activities amount to misleading voters and amount to unfair electoral practices, for which strict action should be taken against the AAP minister. Needed
